nice boots I just received these boots in the mail. I wore them for a couple of hours. They seem a little tight but I'm sure they will break in. The boots are very high quality. The soles are made of a hard rubber and seem like they will last for a long time. The metal pieces that the shoestrings go through are made of a high quality metal and don't seem like they will bend or break. It is summertime in south Texas and I'm sure that these boots will be hot. They are waterproof and that is something that I will have to deal with when wearing waterproof boots. I will be wearing these boots on a daily basis. I will review these boots again in a month or so. I noticed that there weren't any reviews on these boots anywhere on the internet. Hopefully this review and my future reviews will be helpful. June 2, 2012
Very good rugged boots! I have gotten several compliments on my new Carhartt boots. They fit me real good also. Quality is very good, however they do say that they are waterproof right on the boot itself. I work in the water industry and sometimes its real hard to not get wet! After a day on the job, and watching to not completely submerge the boots over the laces, I found that they are definately NOT waterproof, but water resistant-my feet were damp at the end of the day. But they are very good boots and would definately reccomend them to anyone. April 13, 2012
Disappointed to say the least I purchased a pair of these boots about 6 months ago. I'm a big guy 6'7 and wear size 15. At first I thought great carhartt finally makes size 15 boots I can buy. Here's the cons; supposedly size 15 wide carhartt boots aren't at all size 15. I thought that they would break in and be fine but they still hurt my feet to this day. The biggest con to me is that they stopped making size 15 boots again. I would like to try other boots but can't anymore October 29, 2012
disapointed Purchased these boots and six months later the rubber heal support seperated from the leather. Expected it to be a strong boot. August 30, 2012
