Good Safety Shoes For Those Who Have To Remove Shoes FrequentlyI'm an aircraft mechanic and I frequently need to remove my shoes on the job to prevent soiling the carpets on business jets. I was looking for safety toe slip-ons when I found these. I've had Wolverine work boots in the past and was always happy with them.
Size: I sometimes wear an 8-1/2 and sometimes 9, so I was hesitant about ordering from the internet. I also have a slightly wide foot. The Wolverine Falcon Peak size 8-1/2 fit me perfectly, so they probably run slightly wide and long. Comfortable right out of the box!
Quality: I carefully pore over every pair of shoes I buy and I could not find any defects in these. Leather is good quality, seams look strong, and stitching is heavy. No glue smears or sloppy workmanship.
I work on concrete 40 hours/week and frequently have to squat for long periods of time. I was pleasantly surprised to find this shoe remains very comfortable and the safety toe is not even noticeable. Stitching is holding up well. Soles have good grip, even on slick painted floors that are dirty and oily.
I also like the absence of a pull on the back of the shoe. My pants always get hung up on those things and it annoys me. There is nothing annoying about these! These shoes slip on and off easily and I enjoy wearing them.
