Reviewer: Toshtego1, Location: Northern New Mexico, Occupation: Farmer Too Light These overalls are comfortable in warm weather. They are well made as the seams and fasteners hold up. My only beef is the denim cloth is too light for real work. I had my pair for two years, worn only during Spring and summer and rotated with other overalls. They were washed perhaps a dozen times. The cloth wore so thin that holes appeared in the thighs from chaffing of keys and a pocket knife in the front pockets. Then they were snagged and ripped too easily, 11.75 ounces is to light. I would like to see Carhartt use a thicker and tougher denim, say 15 ounces or more. Compared to their standard brown duck overalls, this denim does not hold up. I have switched to Dickies and am hoping for a longer lasting bib overall.

The galluses being able to stretch and move with you help prevent the pulling on your shoulders. Heavyweight material (what you wold expect from Carhartt) should last for quite some time. I will be getting more and highly recommend them.

This being my first denim pair I was happy to find them as comfortable if not a little more so. The slight weight difference is small in numbers but the denim bibs feel much cooler. Got these for working in the yard and on my tractor as I wear the originals in Carhartt brown. They don't look good when I have grease stains on them and, I go to a trim or, cabinet job.
