Great gloves.
I make knives so I'm continually chipping, cutting, or scrapping myself while carving/shaping both handles and blades. These are the first pair of gloves that have protected my palms as well as my fingers. Because they are so heavy they are a little thick in the finger tips making them ungainly for most fine work (I've cut off the tops of the index and second finger on my right hand..works great).

Nice!
Really nice pair of gloves for a variety of chores around the house. I like the gauntlet length it's just right for extra protection.

Price / Quality - Just what I was looking for.
I have only worn these gloves a couple of times and they are still breaking in. Quality seems top notch and there are no issues. I have long fingers, so I need a glove that is larger than most. These have worked perfectly.

Carhartt Quality - with Variables
NOTE: Although listed as "Fencer", the packages said "Work Gloves," NOT Fencer. Ordered two pair of these gloves since I had just put holes in two of my current pair (other maker). Both pair were well made, but probably in different factories. One was stiffer and thicker, sufficiently so that I had to lather mink oil liberally on the gloves to soften them to the point the seams didn't hurt when holding something tightly (like a pick or hammer). However, this pair seems likely to last longer since its leather is thicker. The other pair also was well made, but its leather is softer and thinner. No preparation required. Overall, particularly compared to gloves costing $20 - $30 a pair, I recommend these. But be prepared for some variation in what you get.
