Not the original 100066, ok for work, the least worst jean
These are the 3rd generation of 100066 as far as I can tell. 1st had white pockets 100066-418. These set at the hips, great fit through the hips / butt. Heavy denim, big leg openings, good quality. The best fit and quality
2nd 100066-484 brown pockets, a bit higher on the waist, still good through the hips, material seems a bit lighter, seem to set lower in the crotch. 2nd best fit and quality
3rd 100066-484 brown pockets, highest on the waist 1/2" or so higher, too baggy thru the hips and butt. Like grandpa jeans. Material thinner than the originals, but not as thin as some other models. Also seem lower in the crotch. I ride a Motorcycle, and find myself standing to adjust at stop lights. Worst fit and quality of the series.
Who knows, there seems to be inconsistency now, so maybe that's what I'm seeing in the last two versions.
I'm 6' 3", 185 - 200 lbs, athletic, ordered 32 x 36. These run a little large in the waist (1/2" or so). I wear 32 x 36 Wranglers when I'm <=190, 33s when I'm >190. These are more like 33 inch waist in Wrangler size. Legs are nice a large (only reason I buy) but run long (1" or so). 32 x 34 are too short.
Still ok for work. The originals fit well enough for casual events. These are a too baggy in the butt, and for my build, I have a big butt (Squats). I'm hoping over time they may shrink a little. But the original Carhartts never did much.
Like most, disappointed in Carhartt. Wish I could go back 7 years and stock up on the good pants.
