But there's one fatal flaw.
As a long-time Carhartt fan who uses their workwear as utility clothing doing physical labor, I regret having to write this review. These could be the finest pair of workwear jeans on the market, and should be!
I've worn them now for several years, and they never fail to wear out very quickly at the corners of the back pockets, where the pockets literally eat a hole in the jeans. They have a 45 degree bar tack at each corner that, while probably good engineering, works against reasonable utility by forcing the sharp folded corners of the pockets into the back panels of the jeans so hard during washing and drying that holes can't help but be made, and made far too soon, before the jeans hardly show any wear and tear anywhere else.
For a few years, I patched them and moved on, but it gets tiring. You pay good money for what otherwise is an outstanding product, you don't expect to have some little flaw in design and construction ruin them in a few months--literally in a few months.
