Carhartt Relaxed Fit Jeans & Pants for Women

Carhartt relaxed fit pants for women have a roomier hip and thigh than the original fit jeans. They feature a contoured waistband to prevent gapping in the back and a mid rise that sits just below the waist.

Might be great, but...
Love the material and construction in general seems to be normal (awesome) Carhartt quality, but can't understand why they put in a KNIT waistband that could not possibly hold up. I have several Carhartt items that I have used and loved for years, and just doubt that knit can last, and there is no way the elasticity can withstand the years. Also, needs a "short" option--those of us that don't hit the 5'6" mark also work hard and deserve hardworking clothing.

Nothing special about these jeans
I buy Carharrtt jeans for my husband all the time and they fit him perfectly so I thought I would try them for myself. The quality is great; they just don't fit my body type properly. I ended up giving them away as there was no invoice included in my package to return them which I was disappointed about. =(

Very comfortable jean!
I have never owned a pair of flannel lined jeans, thinking they would be too heavy. Not these! First pair I have ever bought and these fit great. Not too warm and not too heavy, great stretch in the fabric to be able to move but not feel restricted. I bought them to wear around the house when it's cold, and to work outside in the winter months. Not bad looking either, as my husband said, would wear them running errands which I did not expect. Love the waistband which sits just at my belly button so not too low and not too high. FYI, I am just under 5'6" and bought the regular, next pair I would buy the tall since I like my pants to be a little long to pool around my boots, I have long legs and am slim in the hips which is one reason these fit so nice. Still plenty of room in the legs. Purchased in a size 4 and believe me, I am not a size 4 in lots of pants, more like a 6, so I would recommend buying a size down since after wearing them half the day they have stretched but I wasn't looking for a "fancy" jean, just a comfy, warm one.

Of course the quality of fabric is awesome and I love the color, but the fit is terrible. I'm a small 5" 4" woman, these things say mid-rise, they are up to my chest!! They might actually fit if you're 7 feet tall, but mid-rise, NO WAY! When you lower them to where mid-rise should be the waist and hips fit great, but then the crotch is down to your knees, no kidding!!!. They seem to be made to fit a barrel. No, I do not recommend this product.

runs large: carhart canvas dungarees double-front
Two years ago I purchased a set of 2 of these from elsewhere and they lasted 2 years. They are size 14. Dungarees size 14 was too big this year and the earlier set still fits just fine. It seems the ones from Dungarees run a size larger than the earlier set. I had to exchange them at for a size 12, which fit just fine.
