work outside,nice-comfortable-durable pants so far!
I'm a very skeptical consumer with working outside so its hard to find a product that lives up to what it says. I took a chance when it came to ordering these pants not knowing what to think. I realized they had to be somewhat light weight not to sag while wearing and still durable to stand up to work. I've had them about a month now, like the zipper pocket, small pocket inside the pocket and just like how they feel. I'd so prefer them to be made here in the US rather then another country, like China, that's so hard to find.

So far, so good.
The rip-stop is a good choice for people in the construction trades. Extends the life of your pants considerably.

Tough, but not Carhartt tough
Having previously owned Carhartt canvas pants (B11 & B151) and loving them strongly my next choice in work pants was naturally Carhartt. However, I do not feel ripstop is a great choice material for work pants. I only wore these pants for four day before I went back to canvas pants. The pants developed rips too quickly, yes, the rips stopped tearing, but these pants should not have tore in the first place. The B11 work pair pants I used before lasted for five days a week for nine months before my waist out grew them. With only one small rip near my boots. Nine months of metal fences, chains, barbed wire, lumber, nails, screws. Unloved but always lasted. These pants gained few holes in the legs, and an extremely noticeable hole next to the twig & berries, which left them 'not customer friendly' or perhaps too friendly. Pro: comfortable to wear in hot and humid Florida summers. Con: Too thin and weak to be abused at heavy labor work jobs.

Good pant, needs some tweaks
I'm a commercial & industrial electrician by trade. I've worn these pants for about a year. Here's my this thoughts: + The ripstop knees and cuffs on the legs are great: that's what wore out first on my double knee dungarees. + The top loading double knees for knee pads are genius, don't know why it took this long to figure out. + The utility pockets are well though out. Unless you're a southpaw, I suppose. + The snap attach utility pouch is great, but you may need a bit of customization depending on how you tool yourself out. - The only color is . . . Black? Seriously?!? It's a hot (temperature) cool for outside work. And it fades. For $XX.xx, Carhartt should offer more options. - They seem to shrink when washed? - The mechanic's pockets are on the shallow side. As is the ticket pocket. - The beltloops are tight on a leather Carhartt belt: you can't double up the belt tail after the buckle. All in all, I'd buy them again. (I have four pair.) Is there a perfect pant for everyone? No. Is this a perfect pant for me? No. But, they are really good pants.

So far so good
I've only had these pants a couple weeks and so far so good. I work in the hvac field and they have not stained yet, and dry fast when they get wet. I ordered my size and they fit perfectly. The only bad thing I can say is there is a stitch that goes across the top of my calf that can be a little annoying, but overall great pants.
