Great for Wet Motorcycle Rides too
These are really nice . I haven't had a chance to check them out in the rain just yet , but I can tell that they are going to be just perfect for what I need them for . They are well manufactured . The only gripe I have is that I thought a size large was going to be too small . I am 6ft tall , and weigh 215 pounds . I do have skinny legs and my waist size is a 36" . The large is bigger than expected . The length is perfect for me ( may even be a little longer than expected to tell you the truth but it is better to have them longer than shorter ) . But I tried them on and there are these velcro adjustments on each side of pants at the waist . I pulled them as tight as it would let me but still feels like there is some extra room . ( and yes -- I did try them on over a pair of jeans - my carhartt work jeans ) . -- But still -- all in all , I think a size medium would be too small ) . But these will work . I bought them for those wet motorcycle rides . I do recommend .

Great out in the snow.
I use these when out moving snow on the tractor. They keep me dry and help cut the wind too. Great for being out and staying visible. I thought they ran a bit long, so I have to fold the legs under so I can move around more easily. Great quality as all Carhartt products I have purchased.

Just What It Says on the Label...
If you live in Oregon-- particularly close to the coast-- "Astoria" is some pretty immediate branding. The north coast is cold and wet and pretty relentless at the best of times. I'm happy to report that these pants live up to their name. There are a few things I didn't like: the "built-in" suspenders are flimsy and best replaced with the real thing. The cut is a little long. But as far as being breathable, waterproof, and warm-- these pants deliver.
