POCKETS!!!!!
It's nice to find women's work pants that actually have pockets. Other pants I've tried have those little 2 inch pockets that are useless and are designed for fashion not the field.

Perfect for what I need.
I bought these for a trip to Alaska. It's true they run big. I am 5'6 135 and I originally ordered and 8 and they were too big by a long shot. I returned them for a 6. They will be great for hiking and hanging out with my two best friends, dirt and grime!

Front Pockets are different :(
My only complaint is that the pockets are not as deep as the last pair and the opening is much more narrow. I have small hands and can just barely get them into the front pockets.I could stick my hand all the way down to my wrist maybe 7" and now it only goes to my thumb maybe 5"

Fits like work pants should; tough but good looking.
While the 6 Short runs a bit on the large side (at the waist), its inseam length is perfect for me. I love the color, and that it has so many pockets. They are so comfortable; I bought 2 pairs. One can be in the wash while I wear the other. High quality stitching, tough material. I can wear it to work and (if clean) wear for fun.

I really wanted to like these but.....
Too bad these don't come in odd sizes like a 5 tall. I'm 5'10", and both the 4 tall and 6 tall had issues besides these running a size too big. The 4 talls fit best in the waist and leg, but when squatting down they were tight on the hips and where the front of your leg connects to your body and also too short in length! The canvas fabric is strong durable and thick in these, but 1% or 2% spandex instead of all cotton would be ideal since most people bend and move when working and want to be comfortable instead of feeling stiff like a board. The 6 talls weren't as tight in the hips and when bending over, but they were too big in the legs and gapped at the waist in the back. I don't know why Carhartt thinks that most women have a straight up and down body type instead of a smaller waist and going out at the hips like mine. Or that there aren't tall ones like me who need more length as well. I am so sick of other reviewers saying Carhartt pants run too long but they couldn't be more incorrect. The only positive about these pants is that the bottom hem is big so at least I can cut it out and they would be long enough in length then.
