Good idea. Almost perfect.
This seems to be Carhartt's most ignored sweater. It's sad because this is by far my favorite sweater regardless of brand. It's the halfway-point between jacket and sweater. It's lining isn't scratchy like Carhartt's thermal-lined sweaters.
My only complaint is the sizing. It is slightly smaller than my Carhartt heavyweight thermal fullzip hoodie although the arm length is perfect for me. You may want to go up a size. It's mostly the width thing. I'm a pretty skinny guy and feel most guys would find this jacket too tight if they are used to other Carhartt sweaters. I also like being able to throw a superlite patagonia down jacket underneath my sweaters when I got outdoor projects and the temps dip into the negatives. I can do that with my heavy weight of the same size but not my 3 season.
I'd also love to see the halfzip mock hoodie and regular heavyweight hoodie have the option of the 3 season lining, but that's probably not going to happen. Oh well. It's still a perfectly fine sweater.

Sleeves TOO tight
This hoodie was exactly what I wanted in every aspect, almost. When I tried it on the sleeves around the forearm were skin tight. NO room at all. Maybe this is so you can wear it under a jacket but I wanted this to wear alone so the sleeves were very bothering. So its nice and thick, and is carhartt quality but had to return it cause of the sleeves.

very disappointed
I have been buying Carhartt for 10 years for my son and have never been unsatisfied, untill now. This sweatshirt was the worst product I have ever bought. It literely fell apart at the seams!!! Needless to say I did email Carhartt but they never even actknowledged it so that really made things worse. I have since thrown the darn thing away.
