Work days don't get rain delays. That fact inspired the design of the Carhartt Mankato Jacket.

•  10-ounce, 100% cotton canvas with a waterproof breathable membrane.
•  Seams are fully taped for complete waterproof protection.
•  Lined with nylon quilted to lightweight polyester insulation.
•  Stand-up collar plus a snap on/off detachable hood including an adjustable draw-cord closure and hook-and-loop closed front.
•  The full-length front zipper has an interior storm flap and exterior storm flap with snap closure to protect against wind and rain.
•  Storm cuffs also work to keep water out.
•  Raglan sleeves enhance ease of movement, and the jacket's cuffs feature an ergonomic-curved design carved out around the thumb to avoid added wear.
•  Two chest pockets with flap closures, with the left one including a media port that lets you string headphone wires to a cell phone or media player.
•  Two large lower-front pockets feature zipper closures and storm flaps.
•  Two interior pockets with hook-and-loop closures
•  Inner-sleeve storm cuffs
•  In addition, all exterior pockets are edged in rubber for added durability.
•  To keep wind out, the coat includes a tunneled draw cord at the hem and for added coverage there is a drop tail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket. Sharp looking and very appealing! When I received the jacket I knew the quality was great as always with Carhartt. Awesome looks and fit. It's now one of my favorites. March 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost perfect! This has quickly become my favorite Carhartt jacket and I've owned quite a few. The lightweight quilted lining provides plenty of warmth and ample sizing allows for ease of movement when layered over other winter clothing. By itself, the coat is enough protection in freezing temps but when layered with a Carhartt hooded sweatshirt, the Mankato is up to the challenge of all but the harshest North American weather. The waterproof breathable membrane shrugs off water like your best rain jacket, making it the ideal snow storm or cold rain storm protection. The quilted, removable hood is a huge plus. Zippered waist pockets are cavernous and chest pockets adequately large. Innovative curved-cut cuff keeps it from wearing on the back of your thumb. A big downside is the small, finicky, dual-head zipper that is hard to engage under normal circumstances, and even harder to use while wearing gloves. The chest pocket flaps are tiny have no means of securing them in the closed position- a shame since the pockets themselves are of a very useful size. Single-stitched seams are a minor concern but they are definitely an area for improvement for a jacket of this quality. The negatives of the undersized zippers and un-securable chest pocket flaps can be overlooked but keep me from giving this otherwise perfect jacket my highest rating. February 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty good jacket I purchased this jacket after seeing one in person at dicks sporting goods but they didn't have my size at the time. This jacket is very warm and comfortable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to how much the black jacket shows dirt and lint. I would recommend a different color February 7, 2014
