My husband LOVES this sweater. It is great for someone who works outside. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because this is the second sweater from Carhartt where the zipper breaks.

I liked this sweatshirt so much I bought a second one! I've worn these while riding my motorcycle IN THE RAIN and they do a great job of keeping warm and DRY! Would definitely recommend these to anyone.

Design needs some work.

Overall this is a good sweatshirt - warm, comfortable, repels water. Only issue is the hood is far too small. I have a relatively small head, and the hood only covers the back 2/3 of it. When I purchase a hooded sweatshirt, I prefer the hood to be large enough to come over my entire head and hang over a bit in the front to keep rain off my face, but this doesn't come close.

Great hooded zip-front sweatshirt
March 20, 2016

I'm 57 years old and have had more of these than I can count. Usually comfortable but thin cotton and great for a quick run or to keep you warm from the car to the restaurant but that's about it. This is very comfortable but heavy material. I've not worn it in the rain yet though it is supposed to repel water. Much warmer than products like this I've had in the past and a nice inside zipper pocket comes in handy for small items. More expensive than most hoodies but I bet I'll have this one longer than my last 4 combined. Good purchase.

I loved it from day one.I buy it a little larger so I can layer if I use riding my motorcycle. Also great around house in winter to save on heat bills haha.Very Comfortable.I just bought the Paxton heavyweight that's 80% cotton and this is still my fav Carharrt product. It is warmer than that hoodie.Buy the size you normally get and if you don't like because its too large do like I do wash hot and dry high and it will take some of the bulk away.....

This is a "real" sweatshirt....not light weight

The Rutland thermal lined zip front hooded sweatshirt is definitely a first class quality product. Carhartt products should be "MADE IN USA" These days many clothing products are not the "good quality" that were made in years past, but this Carhartt sweatshirt is totes awesome.

Great Hoodie
January 13, 2016

From: Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
This hoodie is really nice! I have it paired with the Carhartt sandstone traditional coat and between the two of these items, I'm nice and toasty on the coldest nights so far here in Chicago. The water repellency is fantastic as it hasn't soaked up water from the snow and has kept me dry in the rain. It also looks great and I wear it outside of work as well. Pros: warm, water repellency works, durable, great quality Cons: None

Good overall but not excellent

A good warm and comfortable sweatshirt. The big zipper pull is nice to grab with gloves on but gets easily caught in dryer vents and breaks off easily. Carhart has sent replacement zippers to my coworkers in the past but that is no longer the case. Instead of buying a new one. Based on cost, I will buy a second Jerzees and double up. My Jerzees is just as old and the zipper is still attached and works fine. Plus a fraction of the cost. The Carharts I have looked at are made in Mexico so it not like they are hiring USA workers.
