I received this on September 24, 2015. When I first received it, I washed it so that it could have that worn in feel. Since then, I haven't worn it because it wasn't cold here in Toronto - probably in the 14-19 degree Celsius range. When it got a bit chilly, about 2 and a half weeks ago, I have worn it about 6 to 8 times. After wearing it often, I toss them into the dryer, because I like wearing thermals close to the body (purchased a small: 5'11", 163lbs, 32" waist, athletic build#.
After putting them into the dryer today, the side seam near the bottom right hem, starting to come apart and fray. I have now 2 holes, one about 2 inches long and the other about half an inch long. The thread that kept them together, is about 11 to 12 inches long, out of the seam. I've only had it about 3 weeks, worn it for about 2 and a half weeks and this shirt didn't even last me the whole season yet. Very disappointed.
After all this, I still thought it was a good purchase. I like the weight - 9.5 ounce cotton ring-spun kept me pretty warm, with just a t-shirt over. I just wish I could've have worn this in the winter time, to see and actually test out how well this holds out during the cold season. Carhartt should improve on the stitching and use the same threads as they use on the Force T-Shirt's #100410# because the durability on those t-shirts are amazing.
