This is a well constructed sweatshirt. I am impressed with the quality and comfort. The color matches my dusty plum carhartt parka, therefore adds an extra layer when needed looking as if it is a part of the coat. I got this sweatshirt at a closeout price but upon having worn it I would pay full price for the quality alone.

Timeless quality

Carhartt clothing has always, in my opinion, been top quality. The shirts that I have purchased have always held up well. My husband has all but one of every Carhartt shirt we have ever owned. The color will fade, over time, before the garment wears out. Highly recommend Carhartt to everyone.

I have one of these in every color except the purple which is what I just received. All my others are a Med. and ordered either thru Carhartt or Amazon. I ordered a Medium from here. Just received it and seemed to be oddly long with narrow shoulders. Went up stairs and put it next to one of my other sweatshirts and sure enough...shoulders are an inch narrower on each side. Arms are 1 and 1/2 inches longer, body is 1 and 1/2 inches longer. Clearly labeled M. But I would call it a long/small. I am 5'7" and weigh 118 lbs. I order mediums because I like my sweats loose. And they shrink a bit in the dryer. This one fits, snugly. Will keep because of low price but it will NEVER see a dryer. So if you are a true Medium....be aware.

The color pictured online and what you get are two totally different things. I really wanted it to be a darker purple as pictured but it is definitely a much lighter purple. overall fit and style in nice.

Not for tall and thin people

Material is thick and soft. I'm 5'7" and 118 lbs and I have this in XS which is still too big in the waist and not long enough.

Best Gift Ever!!
January 2, 2016

From: Age: 25-34 Gender: Female
My husband bought me this for my birthday. I recently lost a lot of weight and I'm always painfully cold. It is the only thing that has kept me warm this winter. Even warmer than an expensive Cabela's jacket I regret buying. He got me the purple one, which is sooo pretty! Up close there's pink and blue marbled in it. It is warm for a zip up. I think we all have settled with cheap zip ups we fool ourselves into thinking they'll be warm, but are really just for looks. Settle no more, seriously. This is the best sweater you'll buy. It's warm without the bulk, which also allows for layering if needed. The hood stays in my head even with my really big, curly hair, down, in a bun or a ponytail. The extra inch+ of zipper on the neck is genius. It helps keep the hood up too. It's amazing how much more warmth it provides as well. It's a nice chin/mouth tucker if the snow is blowing in your face while walking. The zipper is durable and slick. Usually hefty zippers are a pain. They lock up or bind, not this. It's like a hot knife in butter. I seriously recommend this sweater. I want to find the men's equivalent so my husband can have one too. Everytime I put it on I melt because I love it so much.!!

I love the hoodie. The color however is lighter than what is actually advertised.

Kind of an odd fit
November 23, 2015

I seen the purple one in my town and country store and the coloring is beautiful. It's a Heather type coloring of purple with little bits of pink and blue when you are up close, I had to have it. I Thought I would need a medium or large but when I tried on the large it was tight in the arms and across the back when I stretched my arms out, so I tried an xlarge and it fit fine in my previous trouble areas but huge around my natural waistline and hips, the body area, I am 5'3 153 lbs, 40-30-40, for reference. I feel for the amount of money wanted for the hoodie, if they would have used a stretchier, more elastic type of waistband the shirt would be so much nicer. But they need to decide on a cut, either all women's like the arms or men's like the body. My conclusion, if you have a large bottom and small top this hoodie is for you.
