My 2nd Carhartt vest
May 20, 2017

From: Dover-Foxcroft, ME Age: 65+ Gender: Male
7 years ago, during my first winter in Maine, I bought my first Carhartt vest. I forget the official name, but virtually identical to this one, but without a hood. The fleece lining was also slightly different. I've worn it virtually everyday since that time (now spring 2017) because I'm a thin, older man who needs insulation in Maine, even in summer (nights get very chilly here). I still have it, and wear it in the woods at camp, but not in town -- it's becoming threadbare after so much use. But it's still serviceable. However, this new one totally rocks. The zipper is still a bit rough, even after applying a bit of wax, but it'll smooth up. But the hood is a very significant and positive addition. I love the option of having it along with a hat for extra warmth, and have learned (from trying it out) that I can still wear it under my hood on my full sized Carhartt coat -- I forget the model name, but bought it in 2010 at the same time I got my first vest. Given that temps bump -20F here in winter, two hoods is not too many to have, even on top of two fleece caps, one of which is a full face balaclava. Short story: I love this vest, give it my highest rating (except for durability -- I can't rate that yet; time will tell, but I suspect it'll be 5 stars also.

Strange Dimensions
April 17, 2017

From: Vail, CO Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
5' 10'', 180. Ordered a large, length is great but the shoulders are much narrower than the waist. Fits someone 300 lbs with narrow shoulders. Fits nothing like it looks in the pictures. Everything else is true Carhartt quality though.

March 16, 2017

From: San Diego, CA Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
Listen Up All, Nothing to say but this... totally worth the wait. Size (3XL), good fit, soft feel out of the box, looks tuff, reliable delivery, and well-packaged... perfect. Check pictures and just know, I'm smiling and glowing inside. Thank you, I absolutely love this vest. Thank you for your time, efforts, and patience. Respectfully, G.E.M. P.S. Bought second one as a spare, just in case.
March 3, 2017

From: NY Age: Over 65 Gender: Male
I bought a second one as a spare, just in case it gets changed or discontinued. Have had one for two years. A female friend liked it so much she said, "since it is so durable, when you die, make sure you leave it for me in your will." I said, "OK, but the problem is, we don't know which one of us is going to die first." Since she liked my vest so much, ordered a small for her, but it was still way big. So ordered her the closest women's vest version (weathered duck wildwood vest)--she loved it.

I like the pockets but the top vest pocket is too large for glasses which fall down sideways and glasses take too much stress.

Husbnads Christmas Present
January 20, 2017

From: Lubbock, TX Age: 35-44 Gender: Female
Bought for my husband for Christmas. It was on backorder so we had to wait. It was worth the wait. He drives a truck and delivers propane and a bulky jacket just wasn't comfortable. The vest keeps him warm and allows full use of his movement.
