July 6, 2016

From: Las Vegas, NV Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
I bought a pair of these gloves and within 20 minutes of working the index finger had a hole in it. I will never buy another pair of carhartt gloves again. Very disappointed.....

Great basic glove
March 10, 2016

From: Age: 55-64 Gender: Male
No frills except what you need, double palms and thumb pad in a good basic glove. They lasted a couple of years until the dog ate them, so I'm ordering another pair. If they were made in the USA, they'd be perfect.

Great gloves.
May 8, 2015

From: Temecula, CA Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
I make knives so I'm continually chipping, cutting, or scrapping myself while carving/shaping both handles and blades. These are the first pair of gloves that have protected my palms as well as my fingers. Because they are so heavy they are a little thick in the finger tips making them ungainly for most fine work (I've cut off the tops of the index and second finger on my right hand..works great).

Yes, I recommend this product.

Carhartt Quality - with Variables
March 5, 2015

From: Buffalo, TX Age: Over 65 Gender: Male
NOTE: Although listed as "Fencer", the packages said "Work Gloves," NOT Fencer. Ordered two pair of these gloves since I had just put holes in two of my current pair (other maker). Both pair were well made, but probably in different factories. One was stiffer and thicker, sufficiently so that I had to lather mink oil liberally on the gloves to soften them to the point the seams didn't hurt when holding something tightly (like a pick or hammer). However, this pair seems likely to last longer since its leather is thicker. The other pair also was well made, but its leather is softer and thinner. No preparation required. Overall, particularly compared to gloves costing $20 - $30 a pair, I recommend these. But be prepared for some variation in what you get.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Lasted 2 days
October 13, 2014

From: NW Ohio Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
Based on the reviews of this item, i thought that it would be a good purchase... I0 was wrong. They were not durabe at all and only lasted 2 days before I got huge holes in both hands... I had a pair of the driver gloves before and they lasted 6 months... This is the first time i have ever been dissapointed in a Carhartt product,

Excessively long pinkies
November 9, 2013

From: Illinois Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
I buy Carhartt very frequently due to the high quality. When these gloves came in, the tag on them stated something like "garden gloves" and nothing about "Fencing gloves". They are, however, a thick leather and aren't low in quality. My biggest complaint is the fit on the pinkie. The pinkies are approximately 1 inch too long, which makes using the gloves rather difficult. I have average sized hands and most other gloves do not over-fit my hand like these do.

Yes, I recommend this product.
