Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin Great basic glove
No frills except what you need, double palms and thumb pad in a good basic glove. They lasted a couple of years until the dog ate them, so I'm ordering another pair. If they were made in the USA, they'd be perfect.

I make knives so I'm continually chipping, cutting, or scrapping myself while carving/shaping both handles and blades. These are the first pair of gloves that have protected my palms as well as my fingers. Because they are so heavy they are a little thick in the finger tips making them ungainly for most fine work (I've cut off the tops of the index and second finger on my right hand..works great).

Rated 5 out of 5 by OldBullDurham Carhartt Quality - with Variables
NOTE: Although listed as "Fencer", the packages said "Work Gloves," NOT Fencer. Ordered two pair of these gloves since I had just put holes in two of my current pair (other maker). Both pair were well made, but probably in different factories. One was stiffer and thicker, sufficiently so that I had to lather mink oil liberally on the gloves to soften them to the point the seams didn't hurt when holding something tightly (like a pick or hammer). However, this pair seems likely to last longer since its leather is thicker. The other pair also was well made, but its leather is softer and thinner. No preparation required. Overall, particularly compared to gloves costing $20 - $30 a pair, I recommend these. But be prepared for some variation in what you get.

Gloves are high quality and I like the elastic at the wrist to help keep out dirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by freddy Really good product
This pair of gloves is really good if you use them for the right thing. They are very heavy duty and thick. kind of stiff at the beginning. I used them to prune roses and liked how i worked with them. Didnt even have to worry about getting pinched with thorns. I also used them when i was removing big shrubs of rosemarys. They will be too stiff to use on light duty jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wineman Best work glove
I've tried a lot of different work gloves. The Leather Fencer glove is by far the best out there. As a vineyard owner, the daily tasks require both dexterity and durabilty- these gloves deliver on both.
