Great quality as always with Carhartt
March 4, 2016

From: Nashville, TN Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
This jacket is a great quality jacket, just as I always get with Carhartt clothes. It fits a little snug so you want to get a larger size than you normally wear (I usually wear XL but needed XXL). This jacket is made well, feels great on, keeps warm and looks nice.

Not as good as my Carhartt denim chore coat
February 25, 2016

From: Boston, Ma Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
I needed a new chore coat to replace my Carhartt denim chore coat, that is no longer available from Carhartt. I decided on this chore coat, should be the same, right? Well not exactly. It's a bit shorter and fits a bit more snug than my denim chore coat, even though they are sized the same. Another minor issue is the smell of the coat. It must be the new material used in making the coat that is a bit overwhelming. After several trips in the wash it still has a smell that's noticeable and annoying.

An easy company to do business with and product was shipped fast. Your logistics are very good. When I am ready to purchase again I will definitely do business here. I was referred to your business by another satisfied buyer.

It's a Carhartt!
January 7, 2016

From: NY Age: 55-65 Gender: Female
Although it appears to be just like to old one - it does not fit the same, the sleeves are much too long (more like a tall) and the chest area is wider (everyone seems to be accommodating the chubby) the body length was right. 5'10" - 180# - broad shoulders and thick chest - a large. It just looks too big, but could not wear a medium.

Miss the blanket lined sleeves.
January 6, 2016

From: Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
I miss the blanket lined sleeves of the old chore coat. The insulating quality just doesn't seem to be there with the quilting. I've looked in various places for an older holdout, but with no success. I own other Carhartt jackets, these with Sherpa lining, and may have to change styles, but nothing says Carhartt like the old chore coat. They seem to fit any task in any occupation. By the way, this is only my third Chore in about 20 years, once you break one in they seem to last forever. Durability could easily have 10 stars!

Outstanding coat
January 1, 2016

From: Vanceburg, KY Age: Over 65 Gender: Male
It's a Carhartt, not much else to say. The size/fit is as advertised and as with all Carhartt coats it takes some 'breaking in', but once you're there it fits like it's part of you. Carhartt durability is second to none. In my 68 years I've tried lot's of other brands, but always come back to the best. I'm a fifth generation farmer and work my clothes hard and only Carhartt stands the test. Don't waste your money on anything else.

Good Quality
December 31, 2015

From: Hawaii Age: Over 65 Gender: Male
I recently purchased this coat and have not yet actually worn it (I live in Hawaii and it is too warm here--I'm planning to use it on an upcoming trip to the Mainland#. I thought the material was pretty stiff so I washed the coat in cold water and dried it in the clothes dryer. It did soften the canvas a bit and it shrink a little #as I thought it probably would#. But the waterproofing coating was essentially entirely washed away. I have retreated the coat with "Outdoor Gear Waterproofing Spray" made by Dry Guy, a Canadian company located in Vancouver, BC. It took a number of applications #with extended drying times between) to adequately treat the coat, but it looks like it will be OK. I like the spray. I believe the coat would have to be retreated every time it is washed. Therefore, I will not wash it any more frequently than absolutely necessary. There is nothing in the catalog information that would indicate to the buyer that the coat would have to be re-waterproofed if washed--this would be a good warning to add to the product care information provided with the coat.
