Very warm A must have for outdoor work in the winter. Very rugged and comfortable too. May 16, 2013
Great Buy My son really likes this coat. Great purchase, highly recommend. May 13, 2013
Husband has worn this jacket for 30 years and counting! Jacket is worth its weight in gold for anyone who has to work outside. Have been wearing this brand for 30 and counting. March 6, 2013
Excellent jacket! This arctic Carhartt jacket is very warm and withstands numbing temperatures. I highly recommend it for cold climates. March 1, 2013
never lets me down This jacket is just plain awesome, warm and rugged. My last exact same jacket lasted about 15+ yrs and I was hard on it working in the cold New England weather as a steel worker and welder. If it was worn casually, it would still be around and look fine. But I treat my work wear like a work horse. It has lasted me a long time and is the only jacket that has consistently kept me warm. So I had to buy another one! February 20, 2013
Stands the test of time I have owned 2 C003 coats. My first was handed down from my father. I am a carpenter, as well as a fisherman, and both of my coats have lasted 7 years plus each. It's getting to be time to buy a new one, and I have a couple concerns. I don't care for the newer style double zipper. I find it doesn't work as well as the old style regular zipper that I have on my current coat. Also, I wish you would bring back the old school sizing. I need a 44 regular. I found the fit to be so much better when you could order by numbered sizing instead of just large, x-large, etc. As far as I am concerned, This is the best coat on the market. The comfort and durability are second to none, along with the value. Thanks for continuing to put out a quality product! January 30, 2013
The Standard What can I say about this coat hasn't already been written? It is excellent in all facets. This coat is designed to keep you warm and dry for extended periods in cold weather, and it does that and then some. The duck canvas exterior stops the wind and repels water nicely. The insulation is more than enough to keep you warm. One thing I would also like to note is that I have not yet overheated in this coat, which is underrated as a factor in comfort. Sweating in cold weather is a good way to chill yourself quickly. That hasn't happened to me with this coat. These coats do run a bit large, but that's to account for the shrinkage that will happen as it breaks in. Like other Carhartt duck clothing, this coat was a little stiff at first, but that was expected. If you wear other Carhartt duck clothing (bibs, pants, etc.), you are likely aware that there is a break-in period, but once that happens, these clothes fit like a glove and are quite comfortable. I am expecting this coat to last me for a while. I am 100% satisfied with this coat, odds are you will be as well. January 10, 2013
Great cold-weather coat As expected, Carhartt quality is excellent. The arctic traditional quilt lined coat is very well made, has lots of pockets, is very warm, and looks good too! I purchased it as a gift for my son who wanted a warm Carhartt jacket. It seems to run a little large so I needed to exchange the first one ordered for next smaller size. It was also somewhat disappointing to have to purchase the hood separately (a coat made for extreme weather needs a hood!) Still, it is a great cold-weather coat which I would definitely recommend.
