this product has lot of packets
is cut very small, my size is large and i had to change it for extra lge.
Also the sleeves are cut shorter then usual, i had that model ,that is how i know, the quality is still the best.

Perfect mid-weight coat.
My son is 6'5, 200 lbs so we ordered a L-Tall, and it fits perfectly(he usually order XL in other coats but we heard Carhartt runs big-- this fits great). So wonderful to find a well-made jacket in Tall!!! It is roomy in the body so accommodates under-layers. He loves the comfy fit and feel and rugged look. He is more of a surfer/diver than a cowboy, but he likes the style.

A no-brainer
I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to figure out the right Carhartt jacket or coat for me. Originally, I wanted the duck brown Detroit jacket, partially since it's the iconic look that was in my head.
But the weather out here gets nasty enough I decided to get a coat that went below the waster and offered better protection from the elements. So I bought the Duck Chore coat with blanket lining. I love the look of that. But the medium I ordered was too big and I didn't like that material as I thought I would. In my opinion, that cut/style is better for bigger guys. I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs. with a 42 chest. I felt like a kid wearing his dad's coat. I returned the coat.
I found a local store with a variety of coats and noticed that the sizing is not consistent from style to style. Carhartt should fix that. But I ordered a medium in this coat and it fits nicely. It's a little "large" with regular shirts on. But if I need to layer, it will be perfect.
The sherpa interior makes me feel like I could sleep in this thing. It's probably the most comfortable jacket I've owned. I love the brown color and the material is actually nicer than what it looks like online. It definitely has a look of quality to it.
One side note. My wife has been in the apparel business for decades and worked with the likes of Columbia, Nike and others. She thought the look of the regular Detroit in duck brown was cheap looking and cheaply made. When she saw this jacket she really liked it. I can tell you that she is a tough critic, so to me, that means a lot.

Very well made and excellent quality, ideal for Aussie winter
I only wish I had known about the coats years ago, the coat is very well made and excellent quality and would have been ideal to wear during our winters on construction sites. I would recommend this product to all.

This coat is exactly what I was looking for.
I ordered the coat on sale recently. Atlanta had 2 cold days since the coat arrived. It is thick andrugged, yet felt broken in. It has plenty of pockets, including insulated hand-warmer pockets. I am 6'4" tall and I ordered it in an XL tall. The back is approximately 35 inches long and it kept me covered. Length, fit and function are excellent.

At Home On The Range
Carhartt Designers hit a homerun with the C61 Ridge Coat. I am a fan of most Carhartt products but this coat takes the cake. The sherpa lining is comfortable and the styling is classic. It is not the warmest coat for below freezing weather but it is warm enough for most conditions. The fit is good, arm movement is unrestricted and the length is long enough for those of us with a gut. I prefer Carhartt jackets and coats with the bi-swing back and pleated elbows this coat has both. My only complaint is the inside pockets are smaller than I would like them to be.
