Definetly keeps the head warm This is great for keeping your head, neck and ears warm. Fits well under a hard hat. I only wish it had little holes or slits for the nose and mouth. Can't wear safety glasses effectively (which anyone would always have on) with this as they will fog up. I still like it and use it, but if there was one like this with the slits or holes for respiration, I would get it instead. February 18, 2012
It's a Carhartt, but that's about it. I love Carhartt and need FR/ARC, so I figured this was the perfect marriage. However I have found this balaclava to be lacking 1. My face is poorly covered. the opening could be a bit more narrow. 2. the neck piece should be longer, can not tuck in to my jacket or shirt. On the plus side the 2 peace design makes it easy to adjust the fit, but it does concern me that it might rip a seam when wearing it. As well it is very comfortable, and the areas it covers are nice and warm. As a lineman in northern Canada this is of major importance. If you are a Carhartt lover this balaclava is for you, other wise you might want to take a second look. December 17, 2012
