Be careful with True Fit app...
September 23, 2016

From: Age: 20-24 Gender: Male
I used your true fit app and it said to me that regular medium will be exactly what I need, well, now that I received my jacket I'm quite disappointed with its size, it runs large and sleeves are enormously long, what can I say, u should never trust some app, it's always a Russian roulette... Anyway, the jacket looks really great, it is a pity that it is not my size.

Unbeatable
August 31, 2016

From: Appleton City, MO Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
I am on my 4th one of these in my 43 years, and I love them! Although very worn and nearly 10 years old, I have het to through my oldest away! The sleeves are lined with a smooth quilting that lets your arms slide freely when moving. I am 6' 1" and about 215. I get a 2xlt and once washed and dried, it fits perfect with a hooded sweat shirt underneath. I am no fan of the elastic cuffs or waistband found in many jackets so this works well for me. It is stiff and needs a wash with fabric softner, but it will become your favorite jacket quick.

Detroit Made...(or US anyway)
June 2, 2016

From: Detroit, MI Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
This jacket is an American Classic. Dungarees.net had by far the best price on it too. I bought the black Detroit Jacket in small. I am a Medium in almost everything else, but these do run a bit big in my opinion. I am 5 '11" and about 160 and bought the small - fits like a glove. I purchased this really for a fashion jacket, but may do work around the yard it it. A medium for the sake of working would have probably provided more comfort...but I don't like blouse-y hugely cut garments. If you're debating the size, I just think it's a good idea to keep in mind that these are a fuller cut. I would repeat buying from this website too. GREAT prices, GREAT communication and SUPER fast free shipping.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Weird Size
April 11, 2016

From: Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
I loved the look of this jacket since the first time i saw it, but what size do i need?! Generally I wear a size S or M, for this jacket I chose a size S but the shoulder and the sleeves are too big although the torso area is too snug!!! Definitely a weird size, sadly this is not for me.

Durable Jacket, Clammy Arms
March 19, 2016

From: Chicago, IL Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
This was my first time buying anything Carhartt as I just got into the union construction field. I knew I needed something tough so I bough Carhartt because that's what all the vets in the field wear. I picked the Detroit jacket because of the timeless style and largely because it is made in the great USA by union labor. I read several reviews from what seemed to be people that have worn Carhartt for a long while. They complained about the nylon lining in the sleeves no longer being blanket lined, and it sounded to me like they were being too picky. I was wrong. The blanket lining is great on the body of the jacket but the nylon lining of the sleeves cause my arms to sweat even when it's not hot out. We're still thawing out of winter here in Chicago, and my sweaty arms rubbing the nylon on a chilly March day makes my arms feel like the hotdogs in 7-Eleven on those heated rollers. I hate to complain about an American made work jacket, but I hope this review helps buyers and Carhartt (listen to the suggestion of their consumers) as I am part of the next generation of potential life long customers. I would still recommend it simply for its practical durability, not comfort. So I salute Carhartt with soggy arms for making the Detroit jacket in the USA but I respectfully ask to please get rid of the nylon and brink back the blanket lined sleeves. PS I highly advise using the True Fit guide. The jacket seemed too big at first but after a wash it shrunk just enough to make it a spot-on fit.

Huge sleeves!
February 5, 2016

From: Paris, France Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
Good product, great quality but the sleeves are huge! They are so big that they create a bulge on the back of the jacket. Other than that, a very reliable work jacket.

Yes, I recommend this product.
