Good Jacket For Price
February 13, 2017

From: San Clemente, CA Age: 25-34 Gender: Female
I am a 5'2" (120 lbs) women and bought a men's small jacket. I had tried a small of a different model in store just to get the size. Do not like the women's jacket because they are too fitted and short. The men's small is a little large and very puffy on me. Definitely keeps you warm and dry in rainy weather (40+ degrees F). Takes a while to break in. Have had it for 2 weeks, and after washing it with vinegar the hood still stands vertical. Excited that I will have this jacket for many years to come.

Great Coat, Warm
February 12, 2017

From: Lake Stevens, WA Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
I took this to the Tanana River in Alaska during a snow machine trek looking for a lake. Temps got down to -22 during the day, this coat with 3 base layers, kept me very warm to work. The hood is a little stiff and prevents you from looking back while on the snow machine, and the zipper is pretty tough to pull up, but that's all because the coat is so darn tough that it takes some manning to get it to move for you. Comfortable and awesome.

I'm very interested in the jacket, but would like a choice of colors please Carhartt. Even Henry Ford eventually offered customers a choice in colors.

WARM
February 8, 2017

From: st paul, MN Age: 55-64 Gender: Male
Only thing is it was very stiff, due to being quality materials. The hood was not comfortable, because it would not lay down. Hung it on a chair for 1 week with a can of peas in the, hood, now it is perfect. I have another Carhartt that I wear in above 10 degrees, and this one i now wear when it is colder, and am very comfortable. I am 64, and the cold bothers me so this is a great solution.

Large enough to return
February 4, 2017

From: Yakima, WA Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
Loved the jacket, couldn't wait to put it on straight out of the package... could have fit another person inside comfortably. Im 6'1" tall and about 210# and ordered an XL REGULAR; I typically wear a sweatshirt under my zip up jackets and was looking for "the last jacket i would ever buy" with room enough to wear a sweatshirt underneath. Right away i knew the jacket was quality, extremely durable, and probably warm enough for EXTREME (-20 or colder) cold. I was very sad when I decided to send the jacket back but have since gone to a local retailer who deals carhartt and purchased another style of jacket in a LARGE TALL and am extremely satisfied. If you know your size in carhartt jackets i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product, but as i was a first time buyer, made the mistake of ordering what i thought would be a good fit and ended up with a $20 refund charge for shipping. Again, i want to be very fair, carhartt is an amazing brand with very high quality products, but the jacket i ordered was extremely large, and stiff as a board. Try on multiple jackets before purchasing online and i believe any buyer would be happy with this product.

This coat is extremely warm. I have been out in -10° weather and not even been uncomfortable. Gave 4 stars for comfort because it is somewhat stiff and requires a lot of breaking in. Biggest drawback is that the pockets are not lined, otherwise a very good jacket.

Outer pockets are not insulated
January 10, 2017

From: New York, NY Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
Everything about this jacket is great except for the outer pockets. They are not insulated to warm your hands, which ultimately makes them serve no purpose, and the material of the jacket is like sandpaper as it is, and when your hands are cold there is nothing worse then rubbing them against this material. Everone who works in the cold knows that your hands are in and out of your pockets all day. This material feels like a cheese grader against your skin, which is great for working outdoors, but not for your skin. I must say the material and quality is A+ and the jacket would probably last you 20 years. If they would line the outer pockets with the same material that they lined the inside of the jacket with, it would be the best jacket on the market. And i would make it about an inch longer as well, im averaged size 5-11 195...and the jacket is about an inch or two from my pants pocket...too short, sleeve length is good

amazing, very happy working man
January 9, 2017

From: Portland, OR Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
My review for my husband: he just loves his jacket, we opted for this one because the duck is just so heavy and stays wet for a long time. He is 6'4 and lanky, we bought the 2xt so he has plenty of room to wear a sweater if needed underneath, he can lift his arms above his head with out showing his tummy, and its long enough for his arms. His review: great buy. solid product.
