Keeps the rain out!
November 15, 2016

From: San Antonio, TX Age: 55-64 Gender: Male
I have been through many rain jackets and find hardly any actually keep out serious rain. As I play in rain storms when they decide to hit in Texas, I find some can be pretty seriously heavy for a time and most "water repellant" jackets are ok for awhile, but then the rain pounds through. The day after this jacket arrived, I was scheduled to play and it looked like a minor rain threat would be with us around noon. On the 3rd hole, a misting rain started. By the fourth hole, it was a deluge and continued for 2 more holes pounding down. Not a drop got through THIS Rain Jacket. And this was a pretty serious test. It is heavy to hold it, but once it is on, it is not an issue. It could be a bit more airy, keeping the cold rain out means a lot.

A medium is a bit large
October 9, 2016

From: Easton, PA Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
The size was a bit of a surprise as I ordered and received a medium that was quite large on me. I almost always order mediums, but this jacket runs a bit large, so keep that in mind. This is a great jacket however, and I've actually found that having this jacket run a bit large is a benefit in the colder months, since I can comfortably where a sweatshirt underneath. This jacket repels water extremely well, and is well made.

Soaked, first time using it in rain!
September 19, 2016

From: , VT Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
This jacket is just about brand new, never washed and stored in our closet. Wore it to work in the rain today and was completely soaked during my shift. I expect more from Carhartt especially when advertising this jacket for work in a wet environment!!!!!!!!!!! I suggest you look elsewhere if you must depend on your gear to be waterproof while working!

Good jacket bad sizing
August 28, 2016

From: Hudson, NY Age: 18-19 Gender: Male
The jacket quality is very nice but the size is way too large... Carhartt recommended a size xl for a 6'2" 220 lb male which sounds right and I recieved it and it fits like a XXXL

Seems to be a solid overgarment
July 11, 2016

From: Foster, RI Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
This rain shell feels and looks well-made and durable, and fits me well. If I could change anything, I'd make it a little longer, but it fits just as advertised. It is a little heavier than other rain shells I've had, so it may be a bit warmer than I'd like in a summer rain, but I've only worn it once, and not on a very warm day.
