Great Jacket! I bought this jacket for my boyfriend and he really likes it. It's windproof, but has enough room so that he can wear a hoodie under it to make it a little warmer. It fits really well and looks nice too. All of his guy-friends are jealous. January 4, 2012
Quality is dissapointing I bought this jacket after initially purchasing the Men?s Insulated Waterproof Breathable Jacket in a size 3XL. I am 6'5 280 and the first jacket was like a dress on me, way too big. So, I returned it and bought this Detroit jacket in 2XL. First, I was disappointed with the sizing. Knowing the 3XL was way to big, I made the mistake of thinking all Carhartt products would be about the same in fit...not true. This jacket , though not the wrong size, is snug whereas the last jacket, only one size larger, was enormous...huge difference! Secondly, and most importantly, THE JACKET SEEMED USED. IT ARRIVED SEALED IN A PLASTIC BAG BUT IT WAS IN SUCH POOR CONDITION I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A PRIOR RETURN THAT HAD BEEN RE-BAGGED! The jacket had obvious wear at the cuffs, nothing big but noticeable... It had small, fine white hair all over it that seemed like dog hair to me, basically what it would look like if you have a dog or cat and then sit on a couch with this jacket on. I initially thought perhaps it was just manufacturing threads or something like that but there is nothing white on this jacket and it wasn't a few threads here and there. I ordered the jacket for use on a snow trip so didn't have time for the long return/wait for credit/re-order process so I decided to just wash it thinking the hairs would wash off...That was a dumb mistake on my behalf becasue I would return this jacket in a second! Is it a good quality, rain proof, heavy duty jacket? YES... Am I happy with what I paid for this time, no and all future purchases will be most likely bought on a retailers site that has a better return policy than this one does. March 19, 2012
