comfort & movement with warmth
January 12, 2017

From: Ligonier Pa Age: 55-65 Gender: Male
This jacket is my 3rd one over 20 years, like the warmth offered for cold weather and farm chores, but yet not a coat to limit movement, Detroit style is excellent for working and chores, and safety of not loose hanging clothing to be caught in moving shafts or belts. Excellent at extreme cold yet allow free movement

I am a farmer and use these jackets most of the year. They are durable and comfortable. This pair of jackets is the third set I have had in the past 12 years,I would recommend them to anyone who needs a hoodless short jacket.

Love It!
December 27, 2016

From: Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
Bought this for my husband. He loves this jacket. It is his second one because his first one is very old and well used. He likes the range of motion provided by the shorter length. He also prefers the blanket lining. Would highly recommend this jacket!

Sandstone Detroit Jacket/Blanket Lined
December 26, 2016

From: Florence, OR Age: 65+ Gender: Male
I am very satisfied with this Jacket and is exactly what I expected with the right fit for me. I had gotten a similar jacket as a gift a few years back and even though it's had a lot of use I am still holding on to it. So this new one is on my top list and I hope to enjoy it for many more years to come. Thanks Carhartt! Ron

Designed for tradesmen wearing tool belts.
December 18, 2016

From: Texas Age: 55-65 Gender: Male
Very similar in design to a classic jean jacket - it ends at the belt line. This is a great jacket for physically active tradesman who are NOT thick in the middle - much more of a broad shoulder/narrow at the waist design. The narrow waist keeps cool drafts out, yet allows torsional twisting w/out a knit hem hanging up in waist. It's perfect for wearing a tool belt and sets almost exactly at or slightly below the belt line. Perfect for carpenters, electricians, steel workers, etc. Like all Carhartt products, it's rugged and well built - a decade of hard outdoor use - construction, heavy equipment, farming, etc - would not be surprising. Use as winter coat for urban use - walking dog, car coat, raking leaves, etc - could last a life-time. Slash pockets not really for hands - great for smokes, wallet, cell phone, keys, etc. Great winter coat w/hooded sweatshirt worn underneath. Like the classic jean jacket - it's a sporty design. Perfect jacket for a gun slinger or packing a Ruger .44 Super Blackhawk in a western rig while hunting. Great design for wearing in a car or truck cab - not so good for standing around outside w/no place to put hands. It reminds me a little of the WWII Ike jacket.
