No longer fit for curves
August 9, 2017

From: Charlotte, NC Age: 25-34 Gender: Female
I originally bought these in 2014, and they fit great. When I tried to buy new pants last year, the fit had totally changed. They were about a size bigger overall, and much larger in the waist. Plus all the pockets were smaller and shallower. The tiny back pockets are spaced very widely, which is not flattering. A year later, the original pants are wearing through, and my company's uniform vendor doesn't even carry women's Carhartt pants anymore. I'm going to try to get the men's pants altered, because the durability of my old pairs was actually very good -- three years washed weekly. At least the men's pants have usable pockets. (But now only five belt loops?) Sizing info: I have a 27" waist and 38" hips. The 6 (which I never returned, but never wore) fits in the hips but is 2-3" too big at the waist. The 4 was snug in the hips and still a little too big at the waist.

Way to big at the bottom. Women have hips!
July 28, 2017

From: Age: 25-34 Gender: Female
It was a snug fit up top and way too big at the bottom. Carhartt needs to know that women have hips! They cut them like men's jeans. It did not look right at all.

Comfy, but run small
December 15, 2016

From: Denver, CO Age: 35-44 Gender: Female
This is the second time I've bought these pants. They are comfy and lighter than the jeans, but they do run small. Both times I've had to order one size larger than I do with the jeans (one size larger than my normal pant size). They are also a bit more roomy/baggy than the jeans in the legs. I like the extra utility pockets on the sides.

Best FR Pants
February 24, 2015

From: Wheatland, WY Age: 20-24 Gender: Female
These are by far the most comfortable FR pants that I've found thus far, I've tried other Carhartt and Wrangler FR jeans and none are near as comfortable. That being said, I have several issues with these pants. My biggest complaint is that the inseam options are terrible, I purchased a size 2 with the only option being 32" or shorter. I'm 5'9" so when I sit down these pants look like high waters. When standing with boots they're only marginally acceptable. Carhartt needs to offer more inseam options for every size. My other qualm is that the sizes are not small enough, I fit into a traditional size 2 and the Carhartt size 2 is way too large in the waist. The pants, while comfortable, are also not flattering in the slightest. I do not have a backside in these pants at all. I would recommend these pants to others but only because they are very comfortable, not because they look good or fit well.

Needs some work
November 20, 2014

From: Kingman AZ Age: 35-44 Gender: Female
Manufacture needs to work on how they fit for women, I kinda feel like I'm wearing old ladies pants because they fit way over my waistline and the pockets in the front are too short on the inside, need to be careful if you put anything in the front pocket it might fall out.

Good quality

They are a good quality pant. A bit to relaxed for a smaller woman that does not need the extra room in the seat and legs.

I recommend these pants
May 4, 2012

From: Bakersfield, CA Age: 20-24 Gender: Male
I am very pear shaped, so the men's FR pants my company supplied weren't working for me. I've tried both these and the denim style and they work a lot better. I like these a lot better than the denim variety. My only complaint is that there is a snap instead of a button at the waist. These gap a lot less in the back than the denim and they look a lot better too. I would recommend ordering a size up. I usually wear a size 16 and the 18's are a bit snug on me.

sizing issue
July 26, 2011

From: Saskatchewan Age: 45-54 Gender: Female
Hello - I like these pants but, unfortunately, I read the review that said she had to go up two sizes... I went from a 4 (which I wear in the denims) to a 6 in the fire resistant pant and am swimming in them... mistake number 1. Otherwise they seem great. I just wanted to warn people that maybe going up two sizes is not necessary. Time to get out the belt and buckle them up!

Great jean to wear in hot weather
October 4, 2009

From: Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
I have found these canvas jeans to be a lot more comfortable to wear in the summer months than denim jeans. They tend to dry out quicker too, whether it be from sweating or wet from rain. Before purchasing the canvas jeans I had always worn the denim Carhartt Dungaree jeans. The only problem I found was in how the two different types of jeans fit. I had to go up two sizes in the canvas jeans. For example, I wear a size 6 in the denim Carhartt Dungarees, whereas, I have to wear a size 10 in the Carhartt canvas jeans
