Rain Forest™ Plain Toe Uninsulated Work Boots (#10600) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boot with a few drawbacks I have been wearing this boot for just over a year. It is still holding up and looking good. I used to get the Danner Quarry boots, but those started to fall apart quicker and quicker so I decided to up the ante about a $100 bucks and try these made in USA boots. And I'm glad I did. The Good: These boots are very well made with quality materials. They look very good (in my opinion). They give a lot of support to the foot and ankle and are plenty stout enough for kicking things when needed ie. items stuck in the ground, stubborn livestock, democrats, etc. The Bad: They are a little hard to break-in, but if they last for years it's well worth the task. The soles are heavy duty so they hold up well, but the rubber compound they use gets noticeably stiffer in cold weather making them less comfortable and makes you sound like a women in high heels when you're walking on a hard surface. You'd think for over $300 they could throw in some good insoles, but nope. The insoles they come with are some cheap little piece of plastic that cradles your heel. I pitched that in a hurry and salvaged some Danner Fatigue Fighter insoles from my old boots until I could get some new ones. Summary: I like these boots and will buy them again when needed. I would recommend them as a work boot in temperatures above freezing.
