Bought this lunch box just off the pictures and info posted on the Stanley website and some online video reviews. I didn't physically get to handle and inspect the box in person before ordering, so it was basically sight unseen except for those pictures and video reviews. I have to say it absolutely exceeds my expectations. Just the heavyness of the metal itself and the weight of the box is way beyond what I expected. I figured it's just a lunch box, so it would be sort of lightly made with steel that would have quite a bit of flex to it, but I was mistaken. The heft and feel of this box and the gauge of the metal rivals a good quality steel toolbox. I honestly expected less. The size is perfect, I would definitely go with this 10 quart box over the 5 quart one. I will absolutely consider future purchases of Stanley products. I previously had a Stanley 1 quart vaccum bottle and also a Stanley 24 ounce vaccum food jar that I bought new in 1988 when I graduated high school and went out into the world to get a job, and those both served me well until recently as they both rusted out in spots which made small holes in them and didn't work as good as they used to. Sadly I threw them away, I had them so long and didn't realize they have a lifetime warranty, I don't know if the warranty covers that type of problem but even if it didn't, I believe 27 years of using something day in and day out, I've got well over my money's worth out of them and they didn't owe me a dime. This box appears to look as though it will go just as long if not even longer. Really impressive. Hard to get high quality items anymore these days but I believe Stanley products are the exception. Very happy, keep up the quality work Stanley.

I'm not your typical owner of a metal lunch box i.e. Work in a factory or a construction worker but an office worker. And I have to say this is probably if not the best lunch box I've ever owned. It holds a man sized lunch with plenty of room to spare. I can get multiple Tupperwares into it and still able able to close the lid It does not look the least bit childish or girly which insulated ones tend to look like. It is very durrable and easy to clean. Plus I get tons of comments about it. It is the first time since elementary school that I really enjoyed carrying a lunch box this much and I've carried one pretty much my entire life.

Great lunchbox. Love the metal design, plastic is for toys. Always near me on the jobsite. I wish it would accommodate the 1.1L vac bottle. The attachment points for the handle should be made stronger to match the brute strength of the hinges and latches.

I've carried a metal lunch box for over 45 years, and I never had a new one until now. The first was a hand-me-down from some relative, the second was bought used at a thrift store when the first one finally wore out. And now at the age of 59, I have a brand new Stanley metal lunch box. I really didn't think I would be able to find something like this today. This thing is rock solid, heavy duty, and big enough for a hungry man's lunch and thermos. Everyone kept telling me to get one of those flimsy insulated cloth bags for my lunch, but that isn't what I wanted. I wanted something that wouldn't get sat on and crushed, or develop a jammed zipper and tear apart and I wanted something that would last more than a few months or a year. This Stanley lunch box is a lifetime purchase. it will be passed down like my first one was to me. Yeah, it cost a bit more than a plastic insulated box, but this is definitely worth the money in my opinion. I'm glad I found it, I'm glad I bought it, and I'm glad I didn't settle for anything less.

Great design ! Able to pack my lunch and coffee in 1 lunch box. My coffee stores in the lid. Am able to pack food jars or food containers with room to store my safety glasses and such. Classic design is awesome... The steel is very strong . The hinges and latches work very well.

this is the perfect lunch box to hold an entire day's worth of food. it's sturdy and easy to clean. i pack it with my meals the night before, throw it in the fridge, and it's ready for me the next day. it's a timeless design and built solid. i'd also highly recommend getting the nesting containers. they are very durable and all easily fit into this lunch box with room to spare.
one suggestion for the stanley folks since i don't use a thermos in the top. i would love for there to be an option to have a reusable ice pack that could fit up in the lid instead of the thermos. turning my lunch box into a mini-cooler would be awesome.
bottom line is that this lunch box is great for any situation.

Yes, it's big and more heavy than most of the plastic stuff people use as lunchboxes these days. On the other hand, this thing is built like a tank and will probably last me forever. Get the blue one, it just looks Great.
